Since December 1991 I’ve been running my TDL Studio 0.5 transmission line loudspeaker with a beautiful Italian-made Unison Research Mood integrated amplifier. After almost 30 years the time came to get something younger to do the job. I felt the highly-praised Naim Nait series could give me what I was looking for. I went for the one that I could buy at almost the same price I was able to sell my former amp. The choice was the Nait 5i. I’ve found this like-new specimen from 2006 on the German eBay. Virtually unused, it came in enveloped in chellophane and in the original box. It actually looks like it had just come out from the factory.
