Words & Chapter(s): 10,947 two chapters; though I suppose you could just ignore the second chapter if you don’t want to read the knotting, I will add that it doesn’t last long, and it’s really not that bad all things considered. A very accurate portrayal of a virgin, and someone’s first time having Certain Interactions with a weird Certain Male Body-part.

Summary: It's exactly what it says on the box.

Score: Everything this author writes is ten and up. Even the angst that I’ve gotten around to reading. I can’t decide so I’m ranking it 10.5, which is still really good, and I might read it again someday

Pairing(s): Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski/Peter Hale, BUT Peter and Derek aren’t together, Peter is more like an occasional third that’s slightly necessary for Stiles and Derek to move on to the next stage because Stiles is just as bad at emotions as Derek is, for all that he rarely shuts up. Funnily enough, most people like Stiles are like that though.

Warning(s): Hypothermia, but it’s quickly cured, I’m not sure that it’d take this long normally but Stiles might be a little magical or something so let’s roll with it, who knows, maybe werewolves have magically healing dicks I think I read something somewhat similar one time, but that’s literally all I can remember; I can’t even remember the fandom.

Stiles is a few weeks shy of eighteen, months is one thing, I don’t actually care about weeks because very little will change in two or three weeks my guys, BUT if you’re worried about that it’s completely okay, remember, you can always click the back button, there is no shame in self-care.

Knotting. First things first, I think the knotting happens after Stiles is 18, but I’m not sure, regardless 14-21 days from eighteen doesn’t make any difference to me, but still.

Pros: Derek would never admit it, not even to himself, but there’s something strangely empowering about watching another man undress Stiles. Maybe it’s the way that Stiles pinks up with a blush, and keeps glancing over at Derek looking for silent assurance that this is okay. He’s suddenly shy, his scent sharp with anxiety, and it’s Derek his gaze is seeking. Peter might be the one touching him, but Derek knows that Stiles is totally focussed on him.

This fic is really good at drawing lines, but keeping it comfortable, the characters, as per usual to this author, are very in character in the actions and personality, while also having a certain flair that the Teen Wolf show, lacked, for reasons We’ll Never Know. Derek has issues, and even though this is just a lemon fic basically, they’re still present, BUT not in an uncomfortable way ya’know? Stiles is still a little shit, Peter is still manipulative, but they have a reason for why they’re doing what it is that they’re doing. Derek’s not panicking for the sake of panic, Peter’s not Just Like That, Stiles has Something he wants, like, the characters are very, in character; I don’t think I can put it any better, not unless I were just linking the authors profile and telling you that even if it is an AU it’s still honest, and realistic, and true to the characters....

Author’s account, where the characters always act like they probably actually would if Teen Wolf had better writers and direction. Even if it’s an Alternate Universe sometimes.

Also, the porn is readable, understandable, and I am never once left wondering what’s happening to who, by who which is always really fucking great.

Okay, I REALLY don’t like knotting, it’s right up there with Mpreg and ABSOLUTELY ANY FANFICTION AT ALL THAT INCLUDES THE WORD BOYPUSSY WTF PLEASE STOP MAKING THAT A KINK THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS. But, and hear me out on this, But, the way it is done here? Is amazing, it’s talked about, it’s explained, there’s a process and there’s consent, and honestly, as much as I’d fucking love to go more into detail, I can’t without spoiling it. I will say, however, that it only lasts for a little bit regardless of the fact that the whole second chapter is technically about that.

Summary: Stiles is on his back on hard-packed dirt. He's cold and there are leaves stuck to his neck and there's a four-inch gash in his side that he thinks he can feel his ribs through. There's so much blood around him he feels like he's floating on a pond and everything is so much dimmer above him than it was a minute ago, which is saying something because he's in the dark center of the forest in the middle of the night. And the worst of it is that he's alone, totally alone with the smell of his own blood drowning him and the soft side of him run through by a tree.

As his eyes slip shut, the last thing he thinks is, "This is going to kill my dad."

Warning(s): There’s a couple of gruesome injury descriptions here and there but it’s not often, and can be easily be skipped over and ignored if necessary. Two Lemons. Two really good Lemons. Like I didn’t glaze over once. Also, I’m like, 9% sure Stiles is seventeen, but I’m not certain... For all I know he could be 18 is what I’m saying and I’m pretty sure it was never mentioned. Besides Derek is only 21 in canon anyway.

Pros: EVERYTHING

SO MUCH GREATNESS I LOVE IT. It’s not a very deep philosophical conversation thing which is great because I am so not interested in questioning my place in the universe today, maybe tomorrow though... 

The story is very cute and funny, and the banter between Derek and Stiles feels so real and honest, and funny, and entertaining, and GODS I JUST LOVED IT SO MUCH UGH!!! 

I love Stiles’ characterization AS WELL AS Derek’s especially since usually Derek has about five speaking lines in fic I stg, like, guys, I know we all jumped ship after seasons 3 and 4 depending but come on bro, he doesn’t actually just stand there and look pretty contrary to popular belief. Also, I don’t remember him growling that much guys. The author has written what I think is possibly the best incarnation od Derek Hale written in this tone thus far.

I love the storyline twist (It’s small and slightly predictable) and the acceptance and acknowledgment that Scott is being a bad best friend without making him into a fucking demonic asswipe from hell. It basically just makes fun of Scott any chance that comes along, and I love it because it’s very “These are a group of kids (Yes Derek is a kid too. 21 is BARELY an adult. BARELY.) watch them as they unintentionally fuck shit up on accident like the idiots we all know they are.” esque, which is always great. I really hate it when Derek acts like he’s in his early thirties when he’s barely even legal to fucking drink alcohol. 

The writing is easy to understand and keep up with and my eyes glazed over exactly zero (0) times, which is always a plus because I have ADHD, and I’m kinda tired tbh, but dammit this was great regardless. 

I know I’ve said it seventy-two-point-five times already but it’s really great and fun, and I love it a lot, and I’m adding it to my “Favorite Reads” bookmark on my computer (I should publish that someday. Not today though.)

Aesthetic: This Playlist, and this Playlist combined. Also, a good stand-up show, the first time you kissed someone and you felt it in the warmth on your lips and the softness of their skin, and the tingles in your fingers, and the fire in your chest. As close to falling in love as I’ve gotten not counting that one time I fell for the Straight Girl. Dancing around the person you like and wondering if their dance is for you too, the first concert you went too that was hype and energetic and fun, making friends online through obscure jokes, realising that you’ve found your favortie person, and laughing with them at midnight while you lay on a bed and play with their hands above your heads and talk about everything and anything with no holding back, that one funny story you love to remember. All the best firsts.

Warning(s): Stiles thinks Derek only likes him because he’s temporarily got a female body, Derek immediately dashes this thought by lemoning (or being lemoned I suppose) Stiles all over again, temporary sex-swap, BUT, Stiles doesn’t freak out, or even really mind past worrying about Derek’s attraction, he is described by the author in this one as a little gender fluid, which, awesome, honestly, like super awesome.

Pros: It’s 98% lemon. But the other 2% is flangst, though honestly, it’s really cute regardless, and a little Stiles-typical awkward, and, honestly I liked it a lot.

I love the casual way the author made Stiles’ gender-switch something he wouldn’t give many fucks about, regardless of the fact that others would, and that the author also mentioned being interested in writing a sequel from Derek’s point of view that I’d love to see, having Derek switch sex’s sounds interesting and I’m curious what his reaction would be, though the author has hinted at him being mostly not happy.

The lemon though, ugh, it was so sweet and kind and considerate and CONSENSUAL CAREFULLY CONSENSUAL, which is always a plus in any story, but especially a Derek Hale fanfiction.

Cons: I can’t think of any, like at all, the lemon was grabbing in a way that actually kept me from skimming over it which is rarer than you’d think, the afterglow was great, the dialogue was awesome, I even liked the characterization. Zero (0) complaints.
