This is an original painting of a mackerel. The fish is set within a design of abstract marine shapes and a colour scheme of muted greys, blues and greens that, to me, are the colours of the Cornish coast.

I was inspired to create this imaginary piece after seeing a photo of a landscape of terraced salt pools in Peru. I loved the subtle change in colour from pool to pool, which I've tried to recreate in this painting. The painting is sold unframed. It is protected by a high quality varnish.
