To shoot Teresa in my studio I needed some sort of shower rig so I came up with the following scheme:Â
1 1/4″ reinforced hose from my kitchen sink leads up to 30 gallon plastic garbage bin. The weight of the bin when full would be well under the limit of the scaffolding rig which I rented from York Ladder.Â
After running hot water for about 20 minutes to fill the bin, the water runs through a bulkhead, 6′ of garden hose and then finally through a garden nozzle set to ‘shower’. Â
Below I put a kiddie pool (not easy to find in winter) which I painted black. The pool was slightly elevated with a hole to drain into a small tray underneath.Â
My assistant Alex Williams helped put everything together and my son was the stand in for a test day. Much to everyone’s surprise it worked!Â
