Today is officially Day One of a dedicated effort to “get running again”. Day One is always the easiest. I had challenges AND inspiration. Physically i knew i had to “take it easy” as my Aunt ChaCha would say. I also knew if i put it off to a warmer time of the day chances are high i would enjoy a procrastination cocktail 🍹 instead. My running team showed up on time waiting outside for me. It was 20 degrees. The sun was peeking out over the conifers so i put on a few layers and headed out. This was my Maiden Voyage on what I am calling The Bent Tree Loop which is 2.5 miles. The elevation was 7200 to 7500 which made it hard to breathe so i took breaks. . Overall it was tough. My butt literally froze. My pants were not 20 degree weather pants. My 2 buffs were perfect and my beanie too. Gloves too much. Four layers in the torso was great. Both of my knees were fine even on the uphill climbs. . Now i am thawed out and so pooped! This is what I love when exercising out of my comfort zone. . #monumentCo #runningAgain #stemCellProcedureStillGreat #VenkateshMovva #day1 #personalChallenge with Coach Randy @shoe1214 @runningCoachRandy https://www.instagram.com/p/BqaWbMvgfu9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ecy1fjm35l9r
