In this universe, Stellar Force is created and run by The Kingdom as a super soldier team to fulfill their vision for a better world. They're all clones of either members of the Kingdom or their enemies. The team lives and trains out of Hoshikyo, Japan, a glorified compound city run by The Kingdom.
Kagami was part of 'Team A', the more strictly trained team consisting of Leo, Capricorn, Aries, Sagittarius, Cancer, and Ophiuchus. Leo and Ophiuchus in particular were pitted against each other as Ophiuchus was the only one capable of competing with Leo's inhuman origin and Tsurugi and Fathom wanted to incite a competitive environment for them to improve quickly.

Secondly: KAGAMI'S GRANDMOTHER IS IN A LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP AAAAAAAH. I'm sure Tomoe is scandalised on so many levels (the pink hair — assuming it isn't somehow an "anime natural colour" —, the fact her partner has a ganguro style, the LESBIANISM), but at least it doesn't seem Kagami was ever barred from having contacts with her nor taught to be homophobic, so I suppose homophobia is one sin neither Gabe nor Tomoe shared.

This ship has won me over (even though I would ship Félix with other characters in fanfics, ngl), but more importantly: THE 3D MODELS FOR THEIR COSMO SUITS. I want every single wielder to use any available power-up and I want us, the audience, to see them all!
