The thing about social media that has left me feeling like I’m just floating aimlessly in space with nowhere to plant roots is that nowhere really feels like “home base” anymore. Every single app/site/whatever is worse now than it was before and each new change they implement makes it even worse.
On top of that, the alternatives that exist haven’t been able to fully replicate that original experience. And unless everyone moves to the same alternative platform en masse, it’s lonely af and defeats the purpose of an experience that’s meant to help you socialize!
Old internet was not perfect by any means but it was a hell of a lot better than what we have now :/

oh goodness i like my new rotation so far!!! community practice is lovely. we talked about self-advocacy, so i opened up about my experiences with mental health (and how self-advocacy does me good) and im so so glad it was a safe space overall.
felt good because i was able to tell my batchmates about my situation and how they could help me.
also we had a surprise debate activity for a health topic and they put me in as the closing statement on the opposition LMAOOOOO i forgot how those parliamentary thingies work. my last debate was like, sophomore year of high school and i hated those HAHAHAHA
but today was good, i pushed myself to do things and it felt rewarding. i also rewatched the lecture i recorded and honestly idek why i felt so negative about it...it was fine!
