𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓴𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽... ...was indeed the mood of last night. I have to say that I didn't expect to experience 'an advent concert for Ukraine' at St Bride's, my favourite journalists' church in London in the heart of Fleet St (and every journalist of my generation knows what the name of this street means) as it wasn't properly advertised. I was even more surprised to come across a poem 'Mosaic of the Nativity' (Serbia, Winter 1993) by Jane Kenyon as part of the official program that I have never heard before despite my love and understanding of poetry. It was also very strange to discover this poem at an event dedicated to the currently suffering people of Ukraine ? I only wish that a similar event was organised at the time when the war was raging in my former homeland. And that I've heard about this poem around the time when it was actually written, for whatever reason, which is still unclear to me, despite my journalistic skills to retrieve the information and do proper research. Did I also mention that I have a degree in literature?
