Been taking more walks and playing #PokemonGO again lately. 😊 We found this on one of our walks (but couldn’t find any IRL Pokemon to catch with it… 😥) Do any of you still play? Which team do you represent? ❤️💙💛 #pokemon #stayingactive #randomencounters https://www.instagram.com/p/CT3NTQTpG5G/?utm_medium=tumblr

✨ How are you keeping active? ✨
My favourite thing to do these days is going for a walk with my dog! It's now part of my daily routine and it also gives me a reason to go outside for a bit. But I also like going for a run or doing a workout at home. I try to work out 4-5 days a week, and combine those with an online ballet class. 🩰
I have been doing ballet for years, so to have those online classes, it’s such a great way not to sit still. So many professional dancers are streaming their daily stretch and exercise routines and are giving ballet classes on instagram. I love how everyone is supporting and helping each other in the ballet community!
It is so important to stay active right now. Enjoy the outdoors, go for a walk, a run, a bike ride, do a workout in your garden. Get away from your desk, go outside and get some fresh air! 🌤

Thursday, March 26th– How are you keeping active?
Well, I definitely could be better at keeping active, I am ashamed to say. This last week since starting classes, it feels as though I have been so busy trying to do work and organize what exactly I’m supposed to do all the while still attending classes and submit assignments in on-time (like today I thought I was turning something in late, full-on apologizing to my prof as I turned it in and luckily her saying that the deadline was actually pushed). But what I have done in the past and will hopefully do in the coming weeks is exercise for about an hour everyday, switching off between yoga and a run/walk. I’m kind of like a 7-year old, I need constant reminding to do things I need to do haha
Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I just got back from a trip to Mexico for my senior year spring break - it was absolutely amazing, but I am definitely feeling off. My body has been so used to working out and staying active, and a week off was an adjustment! I am so glad to have been able to have such a great trip, but I am ready to get back into my routine and back to a healthy lifestyle.
Over my trip, I tried doing activities like horseback riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, paddle boarding, and more! I love activities like this, and it just felt good to get out and do something active after relaxing on the beach.
What do you guys do to stay active when your’e unable to hit the gym? In need of some suggestions :)

I’ve been going climbing a few times a week for a month or so. There’s a bouldering wall at one of the gyms on campus and a few other stat grad students that go regularly. It’s been easy to get into, a fun way to be active, and I really enjoy the incremental goals that you can attain one hold at a time. I’m so excited because I finally completed my first AND second routes today! 🥳 what non-academic goals do you have? . . . #climbing #bouldering #womenwhoclimb #gradschool #phdlife #stayingactive #accomplishment (at State College, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvkuAIqBc2-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=13qi741nkheoz
Bjj class - October 23rd
Hey everyone!!
Tonight, we learned how to get the side mount position or armbar when we are under someone who is doing a knee on belly.
We start on our backs with the other person with the knee on belly position. Their arm closest to their knee is beside our ear. All on the same side, no cross grip. With that arm vulnerable, our right arm (if you're right handed) is going to wrap around their arm that is holding our collar while our left arm holds their collar with a cross grip. At the same time, we roll "around" the arm so that they roll forwards and they end up on their back. We can then be in side mount position or transition for the arm bar because one of their arms is trapped.
Again, if you find that I don't explain it well, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm also only a white belt so I don't know all the terms yet.
See you all Wednesday! :)
