“Did you know that I have a reputation at school?” Stacie asks, sidestepping a decapitated Barbie doll and rounding the kitchen island.

“Hm, what?” Aubrey asks absentmindedly, smiles when Stacie wraps her arms around her from behind and presses a soft kiss to her cheek.

“That I overshare about my life.”

“But you do overshare about your life,” Aubrey replies lightly, chopping a strawberry in half and popping a piece into her mouth, offering the other half to Stacie.

When Stacie doesn’t bite, she twists to face the woman, laughs at the surprised indignation.

“What?”

“I don’t overshare about my life,” Stacie says and Aubrey pouts mockingly at her, pops the strawberry in Stacie’s mouth and gently urges her mouth closed, patting her cheek.

“You do, my love,” Aubrey says. “You have seniors who have seen the kids grow up through pictures.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Stacie asks after petulantly chewing her strawberry.

Aubrey shrugs one shoulder, lifts her arms to loop them around Stacie’s neck.

“I think it’s cute,” Aubrey admits, sliding closer when Stacie wraps her arms around her middle, hands clasped behind Aubrey’s back. Stacie grumbles softly and Aubrey laughs, pecks at her lips quickly. “Gorgeous, nerdy Professor who can’t stop talking about her wife and kids,” Aubrey whispers, lips brushing against Stacie’s, corners of her mouth ticking upwards and Stacie can’t resist her, rolls her eyes before kissing her more firmly.

“Why is this coming up now?”

“Because a freshman class complained that I wasn’t sharing.”

Aubrey lets out a sharp laugh and when Stacie tries to pull away, she just tightens her arms and smiles sweetly. “Guess I’m not the only one who’s charmed by it.”
