Like statue?

This calls for some piney-apple (doesn’t even taste like an apple...) and the deepest of S L E E P S

I’d feel very confused how a statue could steal a hat. 

I would recommend buying a costume from a Halloween/costume store, or ordering one from an online store such as Amazon. It’s a great way to start!

Buying the costume will also save you money (especially if you have a budget), and you can always improve the costume or replace some of the things with better quality stuff as time goes by!

If you want to go big right away, there are really amazing and great quality handmade masks and costumes you can order online from this website (but they’re really expensive. $600+ for the full set O O F)

Clothing wise, that depends on you! The usual thing most people wear is a black robe (usually a priest/monk robe or they sew it together themselves) with a cowl and a felted hat/Spanish hat. But there’s plenty of others who wear jeans/pants with a vest and the aforementioned hat. Heck, there’s steampunk themed plague doctors! There’s really a whole variety of combinations you can use! There’s no “right way” to cosplay a plague doctor, unless you want to make it authentic like the ones in medieval times. But overall, clothes wise, that decision is up to you
