𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒  𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐌  𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐃𝐋𝐘  𝐈𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃;  he  swore  that  he  could  feel  everything  in  his  body  pulsate  from  it.  His  organs,  his  veins,  the  blood  that  flowed  through  them.  He  could  feel  himself  flinch;  tense  up.  He  could  feel  the  air  catch  in  his  throat  like  he  couldn't  breathe.  It  was...a  good  question.  An  awful  question  .  One  he  would  like  to  never  think  about  again,  but  of  course,  Gwi-ma  had  to  wriggle  his  way  into  the  mind  of  the  maknae.  Teeth  sunk  into  his  bottom  lip  as  he  managed  to  hiss  air  from  his  nose;  hands  balled  into  fists,  gripping  the  fabric  of  his  jeans  as  he  sat  curled  into  the  couch. "I'm  not  supposed  to  hear  you."

𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒  𝐀𝐑𝐄  𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃,  𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐃.  Gaze  shifts  to  land  on  Woohyuk  across  the  room,  the  smaller  knowing  that...He  can't  hear  him  anymore.  That  this  was  an  unfortunate  plague  that  Taejoon  still  had  to  deal  with  himself.  He  swallows  thickly  as  words  echo  again.

𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐒  𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓  𝐓𝐎  𝐒𝐀𝐘  𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆,  but  when  he  blinks  and  looks  up,  he  sees  Woohyuk  looking  at  him,  expression  laced  with  concern,  and  Taejoon's  thoughts  swirl  through  his  mind.  Gwi-ma  was  right.  They  failed  a  second  time.  Taejoon  had  lost  Woohyuk  for  six  months,  unaware  that  his  soul  was  inside  of  him  the  whole  time.  Hyunwoo  and  Jinhwa  were  gone,  Jinu  in  Rumi's  sword...All  of  those  things  were  proof  of  their  failure. Of  HIS  failure.

𝐈𝐓  𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐎  𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃  𝐇𝐈𝐌  that  he  wasn't  free.  Not  by  a  long  shot.  Jinu  &  Woohyuk  had  their  souls  back.  But  Taejoon...He  didn't  get  his  back.  Was  it  because  he  ran  like  a  COWARD?  Would  he  ever  know?

                                                      “Hey--”

                     "I'm...fine,  Woohyuk.  Don't  worry  about  it."

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒  𝐖𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃  around  his  hand,  thumb  brushing  over  the  other  man's  knuckles  before  he  stood  up  and  let  go,  moving  past  him  and  to  their  shared  room,  moving  to  his  desk,  opening  the  drawer  and  digging  around.  "Of  course  he  trusts  me."  He  murmurs  under  his  breath,  and  it's  uncertain  whether  or  not  he  was  talking  to  Gwi-ma  or  himself.  He  had...Hoped  that  Woohyuk  had  trusted  him  still.  He  believed  he  did,  but...Did  he  really?  He  couldn't  just...ask.  There  was  a  pause  before  he  dug  around  again,  notebooks  pulled  out  from  the  drawer.  Quickly  he  flipped  through  old  notes,  notes  from  before  they  made  that  goddamn  deal,  before  they  ruined  their  lives,  before  HE  failed  everyone.

"You  can't  get  in  my  head.  I'm  not  any  of  those  things,  He  trusts  me, I'm  not..."  His  voice  trails  off,  gaze  flickering  over  to  the  door,  a  soft  huff  leaving  him.

                                         "I  told  you,  I'm  fine."

    "You  can  still  hear  him,  can't  you?  You  don't  have  to  lie  to  me,  Tae."

"I'm  not,  I  just...." 

𝐇𝐄  𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃  𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄  𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐍  that  Woohyuk  would  catch  him  muttering  to  himself  sooner  or  later.  This  wasn't  the  first  time.  Taejoon  sighs,  gaze  falling  to  the  notebooks  in  his  own  arms.  They  could...Do  it  this  time,  right?  Wasn't  there  a  saying...third  time's  the  charm?  Maybe...This  would  help  him  survive.  Souls  of  the  fans…Maybe  this...Would  help  them  find  a  way  to  get  his  soul  back,  and  he  could  stop  hearing  that  demon  in  his  mind.  He  could  stop  hearing  and  believing  that  he  was  nothing  but  a  liar,  a failure, a disappointment.  He  could  finally  believe  his  gut,  trust  in  himself  that  Woohyuk  trusted  him,  and...be  free.  There's  a  shake  of  his  head;  one  hand  holding  the  books  to  his  chest  as  he  pushes  past  Woohyuk,  grabbing  his  hand  on  the  way  and  dragging  him  with  him.

"Look...I  still  have  these  old  books.  Lyrics,  notes...Maybe  we  can  use  them  to  get  that  duo  career  up  and  running,  right?  I  think...It'll  be  good  for  us."

He  just  hoped  that  he  they  wouldn't  fail  this  time.

congratulations! it's a female hisuian zorua! she rubs at her eye with a tiny paw, golden eyes blinking up at him blearily.

"zoru...?"

Well,  that  wasn’t  on  his  2025  bingo  card  this  year.

𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄  𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒  𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊  𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍  at  the  egg  that  sits  on  his  pillow—unsure  of  where  the  hell  this  thing  came  from.  Fingers  outstretched  themselves,  moving  to  touch  it—pulling  back  as  the  shell  started  to  crack  and  chip  away;  hatching  and  revealing  the  small  creature  underneath.  Grey-white  and  red  fur;  golden  eyes  and  little  paws…

She  was  cute.  That  was  his  weakness.

𝐓𝐀𝐄𝐉𝐎𝐎𝐍’𝐒  𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃  𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐒  to  scratch  the  little  thing  on  top  of  her  head,  gaze  unreadable  as  he  stared  down  at  the  little…fox…thing.  There’s  a  soft  exhale  that  leaves  him;  proof  that  he’s  thinking.  He  has  to  name  her—right?  If  she’s  going  to  be  a  pet,  or…whatever.

“Tteokbokki.”

𝐇𝐄  𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐒  𝐎𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐁𝐄𝐃,  the  zorua  moving  to  situate  herself  on  his  lap.  Of  course  he  would  name  her  after  food—that’s  not  a  surprise.  Fingers  scratch  at  her  cheeks,  feeling  the  soft  fur  before  Taejoon  finally  scoops  the  little  thing  up  into  his  arms  and  leaves  his  room,  kicking  open  Woohyuk’s  door,  a  soft  trill  leaving  Tteokbokki  as  her  tail  wags  and  her  ears  twitch,  both  her  eyes  and  Taejoon’s  locking  onto  his  boyfriend.

“Hey,  congratulations.  We’re  parents  now.  Time  to  start  paying  child  support.”

Wanda was silent as she listened to Simon speak his mind about the possibility of them beginning a relationship. If someone else had seen the fearsome Ghost hesitate, it would be something that no one else would believe. She knew why he was hesitant to pursue a relationship with her, as his line of work put anyone close to him in danger. Wanda wouldn't be an easy target for anyone thinking they could get to Ghost through her. He knew that too, better than anyone, as he had seen all that she could do. She reached her arms up, extending them out towards Ghost as they emerged from the shadows that enveloped her, save for the glowing scarlet eyes that watched him through the darkness. The palms of Wanda's hands made contact with Simon's cheeks, and she began rubbing the pads of her thumbs against his cheeks, being careful not to scratch his skin with her sharpened nails. "This is what I want. I want to be by your side. Now then, is this what you want?"

A toothy maw separates, heated breath against Woohyuk's face as the lord snarls. The noise is like an animal being held unwillingly, although it was more of a reaction to the slight pain that shattered itself across his back. Clawmarks ran violently down each muscle in every direction. The flames under his skin seeped from the wounds as they slowly closed with time, right before the others' eyes. Eventually fading back into their containment under a thick layer of violet skin. Drool drips from Gwi-Mas' mouth as his large tongue runs across canines. The wrinkle of his face is fading as the pain subsides.

“It is no concern to me; I am pleased that I was able to satisfy your carnal desires.” The lord's head dips, tongue lapping at his markings that he left on Woohyuks' perfect skin. Bitemarks littered his neck and collar.
