&&oocokay, so this is probably gonna be long and partiall hella personal, but here we go ;;first of all, pedro. pedro is bae, and as I’ve already adored him in GoT, NARCOS and bloodsucking bastards ( you guys he is hilarious and needs to get mroe comedic roles i shit u not! ) I got kinda hyped when I read he was cast for the movie.

thing is, when I saw him as whiskey for the first time — he reminded me so, so much of someone. from the way he looked, with those stupid early 90s aviators, the mustache and the hat to the whole cowboy thing - only for it to intensify even more when they aired the glastonbury clip with white shirt, jeans and leather jacket. my dad died 20 ears ago, but the most vivid memories I have of him are the ones of him and his….cowboy thing he had going on for himself, endless country mixtapes and records included.. though we’re not talking 2000s texas, USA here - we’re talking 1995 germany. The way he was dressed was 9/10 my dad, the way he looked, and i just - it clicked? i just saw him and was like; shit. shit shit shit. I can relate to that. i wanna write that. a few things about him i based on my father; his tate in music, for example. status quo, johnny cash - his humor. but also his loneliness and his grief. i don’t know how to properly put this into words that make sense to anybody that isn’t me, but writing the character the way i do makes me miss my dad a bit less? or at least makes me less sad in some way? it gives me this opportunity to imagine my dad going on cool adventures with his spy colleagues, enjoy joyrides in his car while blasting status quo - all that kinda stuff. so yeah - probably kinda weird, huh?

unrelated to the above and merely fictional; a fav aspect about him is that that he is incredibly at peace with who he is. not with his life, not necessarily - too much shit went down, and he isn’t really happy, but he has an incredibly strong and steadfast personality. it doesn’t waver, and while is sometimes tend or seem to tend to border on arrogance, it strikes me more of a sign of utter confidence. i really enjoy this aspect of him.
