The race on horseback with Theon had obviously been a mistake, both Theon and his own horse nowhere to be found and his own knife protruding from his thigh. The village below the walls of the castle was not far, but too far for him to walk with this injury. Shame and pain were vying to be at the forefront of his mind, and he tried to come up with a good explanation as to how he had managed to fall on his own dagger, while also trying to fight the pain shooting up his leg.
At the sound of footsteps coming closer, he sat up, groaning as he tried to keep the blade from moving. âHello?!â He called out. âI could use some help!â He felt stupid, and did not really want to draw attention to himself and his situation, but he was also fully aware that he had no choice.
