Happy Star Wars Day. May the Fourth be with you.
Today’s Good Omens Celebration general prompt is, most fittingly, Force. Azi and Crowley, having watched all the Star Wars movies, in order of the storyline, (including Solo and Rogue One) while in Lockdown (together, eating mass quantities of cake) are very inspired by this tale of Light vs Dark, and decide to do some cosplay on this very special day. In order, they are 1. Anakin and Obi Wan. Azi is very fond of his light saber, which he dubbed a “very nice flaming sword substitute.” Crowley likes the spooky dark robes and the chance to glower menacingly.
2. Crowley could not wait to cosplay Han Solo, his personal favorite character. Azi is inspired by the bad-ass princess, he has mad respect for her. We see them reciting their favorite bit of dialogue between the two.
3. Luke has taken many turns on his hero’s journey. The Dark Side always lurks close to a Jedi. Azi and Crowley are rather taken with each other as Luke.
4. They ship #reylo just like I do. It was while pinning Reylo art on Pinterest in December 2019 that I discovered art depicting two romantic gents, which led me to watching Good Omens. GO has literally opened up a new level of creativity for me. ❤️ When Azi cosplays Rey, his BAMF warrior angel nature comes out, surprising Crowley. Crowley had been ready to do his best Adam Driver (swoon) bad-on-the-outside-mess-on-the-inside glower. But upon seeing Azi's show of power as Rey, just like Kylo Ren, he’s a bit taken aback and awestruck.Of course Azi’s power is angelic, whereas Rey’s comes from her lineage.
I had so much fun drawing these! I love to create May the Fourth Art every year, and doing a Good Omens crossover was just delightful. I hope you enjoy them.
Gratitude you will earn, when liking and reblogging, you do.
