Startup VS Corporate
Corporate Officer:
I have 20+ years of experience doing only coding. While I haven't won any awards or appreciation, I have traveled abroad many times on company expense.
Punctually, I come to office on time and rush home exactly after completing 8 hours.
Weekends are strictly family time. I don't go to events and network, or read many blogs and books. I just stick to my work.
Startup Guy:
I have only 5 years of experience within which I have done marketing, sales, design, recruitment, presales, and product management too.
I typically spend 12 to 15 hours at work and go home to eat and sleep. Weekends actually allow me to work at peace on new ideas.
I haven't travelled abroad much but love evangelising my brand at events, network and learn more. I closely follow the latest industry trends and love implementing them.
Have received 6 awards so far and appreciation, recognition and accolades from heads of companies I worked at.
I also find time to organize events, meetups and hackathon at work and have even anchored at some of them.
