carter was practically trembling with rage, she’d assured the office lady numerous times that her father would be hearing about this ( to which the office lady laughed and said she’d already notified him ) as she was denied access to see the headmaster. her punishment was final. the blonde found it preposterous that she’d been brought here, reprimanded, and kicked from the track team all because she was exercising her civil rights, and she stood by the fact that punching the kid who’d been heckling her at her protest, and making offhanded comments all day shouldn’t have lead to her punishment at all. the blonde turned on her heel and bursted out the office door and saw that god awful livia cullen standing by. carter decided in that moment that it was her that all her pent up rage should be directed at, after all, someone needed to bring that smug smile down a peg. “what are you looking at?” she demanded, “you’re probably beaming right now. with no one standing in your way anymore, you’re the fastest on the track team.” it was petty, but carter had always been jealous of livia and how effortless running was for the other girl, livia always remained second best, but carter knew the other girl was holding back, livia was so god-damned perfect in everything that she did that it infuriated carter who payed attention to the smallest details, like the fact that the girl could run a mile without breaking a sweat.
