Songbird opened her door in the sky to see a mail mare waiting for her. She seemed unassuming enough and Serenade needed someone to listen to the latest chorus of her song.

“Hey, there chicky,” she gave a winsome smile. “How packed is your schedule. “Got a minute to listen to a song? I need someone to tell me if this chorus is too fast. Promise it’s safe in here. My butler can attest for that.”

With a hood pulled over her head, a pony trekked through the woods in search of the wise zebra. Tripping over vines and coughing, the mare finally made it to Zecora’s hut before knocking on the door. The hood fell down to reveal Sweetie Belle.

Only time had passed and what had once been a little filly was now a pretty, grown mare with a scowl. She appeared to be sick.

“Hey, girl.” Bird lifted a wing to wave to the fellow singer. Finally meeting her face-to-face. “Nice to meet you. Dig your music.” She lifted a hoof to shake her hoof.

She wasn’t as larger-than-life in person. But Bird had been expecting that. She knew she wasn’t as sensational in person either. When someone had been in show business as long as Serenade had she had come to expect all celebrities to be normal ponies in make-up, just like her.
