Next week I should have been exhibiting @start_net_ in @saatchi_gallery in London. Unfortunately because of the virus restrictions I had to defer my place at the show until next year. I've been working on my paintings for START since the beginning of the year and I was so excited to show my work at such a prestigious event but look forward to doing it in 2021. I've been trying to decide where to show my collection or what to do with the paintings now, which is a situation I know many artists are in since so many exhibitions have been cancelled. . 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 . It's Day 4 of The STOP PAINTING Project.😊 I've named all the paintings after famous female artists but the paintings are not about the artists. Other than the big hitters Frida Kalho, Georgia O'Keeffe, etc, women in art throughout history have been hugely unrepresented. Perhaps you might spot a few names over the the course of the project that might make you look them up.👩‍🎨 So back to this female artist! 😁 I'm going to post the 30 paintings now in 3 separate posts, 10 in each. Every painting has the working name on it. Some of these paintings have 1, 2 or 3 layers so they are still being built up. I started the first layers of this painting a good few weeks ago and I've been looking at it since trying to decide when it was time to go back to it. I could see the 2 figures waiting to come out.
