Shawn sighed, putting his phone in his pocket as he entered the small café. Café? Was it one? What was the word for a breakfast place? Donor? Diner? He had got to stop mixing up easy words like this. It was definitely one of the two, but which..? If only Gus was here to tell him.
He sat down in a booth by the window, picking up a menu. Nice design. The place was quiet this morning, but it looked like it was a popular place, with the decor and menus and such. Maybe today was a slow morning? This could be a weekend place. He scanned the menu, lightly humming some random song that had been on the radio as he chose what to eat.
Gus would've loved this place, it was totally his style. Alas, he was cast off on a multi-week holiday with his family, leaving Shawn to suffer all alone. Not that he didn't have any other friends, obviously, he has Jules and Lassie (kind of), but they were more work friends if anything.
