There was hesitation evident in her face at the offer of assistance. It seemed there was something LURKING in a way, some sort of darkness in the city leaving people gone almost in a way that was INHUMAN and left most people avoiding the situation entirely. And yet curious Clara couldn’t help but look into it herself. ❝ Why? You could get yourself hurt in all of this. Are you even from here? ❞ He certainly didn’t SOUND as though he were from London.
“well... i’m sort of... just around, really. i’m the doctor. and you need my help.”
he talks like it’s a known fact -- simple, really. there’s something not-quite-human lurking in the shadows of victorian london, and he’s just the guy to lure it out with a nice, juicy slab of time-lord before sending it back on its way. all in a good day’s work, but now, it’s more convincing. so he catches her eye, and he holds it. trust him. he wants to help. that’s all.
“so let me help you. show me where anything strange happened. i don’t care how little -- anything you can think of that’s out of the ordinary.”
