I was curious, can the original part of a cats name get extended when they receive their full name. Like, using Starrybog as an example since that fanart made me think of this, her birth name being Star and that getting extended to starry with her full name. I hope that makes sense lol. Ans that was just an example, I'm not sure which half of her name was her birth name
Of course! Names can even be changed completely at a cat's Ranger Naming. Maybe a cat is named Leap and their Ranger names becomes Leapingfrog or something. Or maybe the name Leap doesn't fit them at all now that they aren't a kitten, so maybe their Ranger name is Snakebelly because they are more of a sneaky stalker than an agile leaper. Or maybe they decide that their gender is not the one they were assigned, so they want a new name to reflect that change.
