Starlinggrad
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Starlinggrad at the Miskin Theatre on Thursday, and I applaud the cast who took part in making the show. Although I enjoyed the play, I had a little trouble grasping the storyline behind it as there were many different stories being portrayed throughout the play, this meant that I did not fully understand the messages that each story was trying to perceive, this was the only criticism I had on the play, but it did make a difference to my overall enjoyment of the play. The acting in the play was superb and I believe that it was, for the most part, faultless. The movements and choreography of each scene was masterfully done and lots of acting techniques were used very effectively and efficiently. The gangster's boss constantly wanting to play cards shows to me that he has an obsessive attitude and is determined to win, even through constantly failing, this foreshadows the ever going urge of the Germans to win and conquer Russia. In conclusion, I believe that the play was a huge success and, if the storyline was made clearer, could be a show I would pay to see.
