The winds howled and roared, lashing at the surroundings, a storm brewing overhead as dark clouds gathered to smother the heavens. Rain came falling soon after, a torrential downpour that would leave any person struggling to stand. The screeching of tearing steel sundered through the air. No, it was a cry! Through the curtain of rain a dark silhouette came into view, vast wings sending mighty gusts swirling and catching the droplets in vortexes. A draconic figure, armoured from head to tail in metal, its brilliant blue eyes leering through the storm.
What the poor woman had done to earn an Elder Dragon's ire, no one would know. Such fickle creatures they are, after all, here one moment and gonne the next, sowing disaster all the while.
None of it would matter to the Boltreaver, however, completely unfazed by the storm and screeching his challenge towards the dragon! Rebel took to the skies, his azure glow a lighthouse in the darkness; blue lightning crackled across the membrane of his wings, his bladed crest, and from the shearing of his tail.
The dragon was taken aback by the wyvern's sudden intrusion -- nonetheless it accepted his challenge, and the Pokรฉmon lunged for each other, their spectator forgotten. Dagger claws and thundering talons clashed, the two foes colliding and falling into a brutish struggle! The Kushala Daora, the far heavier combatant, literally came out on top as they crashed into the ground, Rebel pinned under the great mass of steel given form and flesh. Not for long, however, as he spat a bolt of electricity straight into the dragon's eyes, earning him a satisfying yelp and the opportunity to knock his opponent away with mighty blows from his wings!
The Kushala Daora staggered away, hurricane-strength winds lifting it into the air as its wings were spread like sails, and it gave an indignant roar. A vortex began to form around its mouth, becoming bigger and bigger, and it breathed a stone-shattering blast of air at Rebel!
The canyon was narrow, that much was true, yet the Thunderclaw Wyvern made due, his massive yet light frame leaping out of the way. The claws upon his wings clung like hooks to the rock, and he screeched at his foe before jumping again to avoid another blast. He quickly returned fire, sending sky-blue bolts zapping from his open jaws. The battle had become a dogfight, wind and lightning peppering the opposing sides whenever the two winged monsters did not lunge for one another, some blows striking the combatants and others tearing apart the surrounding cliffs!
Stones and rubble fell all around, and one could only hope that the woman would not be battered by the debris, if not already being beaten down by the storm her pursuer had summoned.
