"Y'see, you gotta pour your soul into it. Like this." Sunday took a deep breath, before shrieking into the mic as loud as they could. Ruby yelped and leapt back. "Like that."

"I-I dunno.. I dunno how you did that." Ruby played with her hair, her one purple eye staring at the ground. .

"I took all my anger at life, and I SCREAMED at them. You can't just scream at them. You gotta SCREAM at them."

Ruby thought about that. She had to scream - no - SCREAM at her problems. She thought of her problems: stress with being a hero, stress with the band, and of course, stress with her parents. She held the mic up to her mouth, feeling the stress build. She took a deep breath, allowing it to flow through her. She closed her eye and..

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

To say the scream Ruby let out was a monster would be an understatement. The windows cracked from the sheer power of it, and the near unflinchable Sunday leapt back in surprise.

"H-how was that?" Ruby shyly removed the mic, observing Sunday's shocked expression. "That bad huh?"

"BAD? Girl, you didn't just SCREAM at that problem, you SCREAMED at it."

Ruby chuckled shyly. "Thanks.. guess 19 years of stress gives you a lot to scream about.."

These are concept sketches for a comic I'm working on. Some designs, like Sarv's and Ruby's, I'm not very proud of, but these are just concepts. This is only part one of these designs. Maybe I'll do an ask blog.

Context: This is a comic that takes place during the corruption. While most have given in to corruption, there's a rebellion formed to fight back gathered at the church. This takes place 5 years later.
