Stark had sent him the details of where they would be meeting, and wanting to be prepared (and admittedly feeling nervous), Loki had gotten there straight away. Heβd been told he would get the information ten minutes before the meeting time; and true to his word, Stark had kept to that
Stark probably thought he had more to worry about than Loki did with them meeting, and whilst physically that might be the case; emotionally it was a whole different story. Lokiβd not told anyone about Thanos or the danger he posed to Midgard, not even his mother. The fact he was willing to share with Stark at all was a big step, and a huge risk for Loki. Even if he could handle it emotionally, there was no telling what the ramifications of him talking about the Titan would be.
However, he had promised Stark he would tell him the truth about New York, and he wasnβt about to go back on his word. Loki was tired of being treated and seen as a villain, and if bearing his soul and unearthing all the painful memories he had of Thanos was what it would take, Loki didnβt have much of a choice. His reasons werenβt entirely selfish. Midgard would need to be ready when Thanos eventually came, and if anyone could help the realm prepare for the Titan; it would be Stark.
