Sci fi space battle backdrop, but the series itself follows two characters navigating the internal politics of the “good” side while getting to know each other and work together as opposites
The main idea with the characters is each ship has a navigator and a fighter, and these two groups are socially kept very separate and treated differently, but at the same time once two are matched up they become a matched pair so much so that their names are changed to match each other. The protagonist’s get renamed Cain and Able
So you have a lot of odd-couple situations of them being different but learning from each other as the war around the grows more intense
Plus it’s just good to look at
