I don’t think so either, but again, I know next to nothing about the school system and what principals can and can’t do. It definitely IS an abuse of her power, either way, like… she just cancels ALL the activities because some people were rooting for Hearst which only happened because SHE cut funding to ALL the other activities and put it towards basketball??? She’s so fucking full of herself. It’s really a shame PB went all in with the WoC in a position of power is evil trope again, it’s like their fall back.

This wasn't an easy year for anyone I know. Close friends struggled, and so did I. Most of us made it, and for that I'm relieved and grateful. . Although I'm best (and barely) known as a writer and thinker, words failed me this year. With so many flying about, I found it difficult and pointless to add more. It was a year of endless outrage, grief, despair and disbelief. I felt all of that, often at the same time. . Maybe my struggle with words explains why photography felt easier and more fulfilling. It was a creative outlet for me personally, and also a means of escape. The world's visual glut didn't bother me. It inspired me. I'm grateful to the images that carried me away - and to all those young beautiful Instagrammers and #vanlife vagabonds who nourished me with #mountains, #cabins, #cityscapes, #deserts, #warzones, #wildlife, #murals, #models and #starfields. . I enjoyed making photos too, and the lifelong process of getting better at that. . This is a photo I took in the place near home that I call The Beautiful Woods. They aren't famous or hard to reach. But they are one of my happy places, so I'm sharing it here with a hope that it gives you a quick dash of beauty to kick off 2018. Happy New Year World.
