Well! OG does really enjoy Stardust's company. Definitely considered a friend. But it's actually Soot that really cares a lot.
OG understands why Stardust did what he did- but there are definitely obvious differences between their motives.
With Soot? They were very, very similar. Soot slaughtered his kind because they were corrupt and quickly getting worse and worse. Sure, you could consider him the most corrupt of all for murdering them, but still.
Same sorta motive.
Soot naturally slips into that role of father/older brother towards most Dusts, in varying different ways, but he definitely has a specific soft spot for Stardust.
You'll often find Soot just silently standing by Stardust in a show of support- the way his eyelight flashes whenever anyone starts pissing him off by getting angry/rude towards Stardust. Little things. Gifts are given. Jobs are done. Just generally a caring attitude.
Hell, I'm pretty sure Stardust could decide he wanted to snuggle with Soot and the big guy would simply just accept it.
You'll never hear him audibly admit that he cares, but it's clear in everything he does.
Stardust, I imagine, also really likes Soot. The two just get along really well.
I can imagine Stardust having pretty severe self-esteem issues which are promptly thrown out the window when Soot comes around- and also helps Soot to realise: no, you're not all bad.
Violence is all Soot has really ever known, so having people around him he can actively care for and protect really helps him out.
Misery and Stardust definitely get along. I can imagine a siblingship happening there, filled with a bunch of good-natured teasing and just goofing off.
And then Decay is sorta just chilling in the corner, protecting everyone as if his very life depends on it.
