The Forbidden Planet - Starbound
I built a base on the stargate map.
Its tricky, you have to have gravel or skulls or something, jump off the edge, and drop them on the bottom edge of the map before you fall off (easier in admin mode), but you can get a purchase to build from there.
I built an artificial ocean by building a glass background and filling it with water. I then started in on islands, like Starchibald’s island retreat (in progress) and his escape ship, which old school gamers may  recognize.
