@staplerer wants araragi to suffer.
He once had the strength to mask his feelings. Deadpan and move on, being able to look at the current state of his life and the places surrounding him in the most neutral way possible. It’s come a long way for him to mature (slightly, he still needs to learn). He still feels that weird feeling upon him, moving inside his mind to and fro. If he’s honest about it, he has no idea how to deal with it.
Being in this place, mostly by himself, gets the worst side of him. At least, internally. The rubble and random faces he has to see daily gets overwhelming. Being shoved inside a place so unreal like this without anyone by your side can get anyone in an awful mood. He feels lonely. He feels absent. He doesn’t belong here.
All he needed was a single stroll, he didn’t even feel like walking, but a stronger need of doing something other than spending time inside his new room won over his laziness.
... And it seems, that one more time, he lucked out. When he sees familiar purple hues move, he needed to rub his eyes more than three times to realize he wasn’t——
She’s watching. A plethora of emotions rushing inside his mind, colliding against each other and making him feel so confused right now. But all he could muster was,
“Hi.”
