My husband came across this on Reddit. It's not meant to be offensive. Wm is a Celtic and North American Folk singer. One of the the first songs my kids learned all the lyrics of was the Stan Rogers' 'Barrett's Privateers.' It's catchy, it's a sea chanty and it has cursing in it. (Of course it had to have cursing in it, just to make life more interesting.) Wm has performed it in shows, so it's in the playlist. And to be perfectly frank, I like some of Rogers' work. . . As a Mom I tried to insert other words at the appropriate time, because it's really weird to hear GD coming out of the mouth of your 6 year old. I eventually had to give up because nothing worked and this became a favorite song. All that's holy give me strength. We had the talk about how words are just that, words, and carry the meaning *you*, the all inclusive You, give them. Thankfully I have concrete minded, twice-gifted kids and it was an easy talk. . . What's really sad, is when I saw this cartoon I started singing the song and heard Stan Rogers in my head.
