Thank you very much! :D And yes, there are plenty of things:Â electricity, localized EMPs, high-intensity magnets, force fields, etc. Even more than his mood, however, his state of mind affects it. Ironically enough, when his control over his natural sanity starts falling apart, he gains a better hold over his powers as a defense mechanism.Â
(Of course, that can be what makes him dangerous; when he’s dissociating, losing his memory and doesn’t recognize someone, he could fall into paranoia and turn on a friend easily. It doesn’t happen often, but it does pose a problem)
Yooo, that sounds extremely stressful- has any of the others attempted to help him? is there anything that can ground him? Or is he a messy unpredictable glitch at all moments if the day?
Dr. M will usually be the one to try calming him down from an episode; they’ve known each other the longest so he’s the one Jan is most likely to recognize. There’s not much they can do to contain him if he gets violent unless they were to use one of those other methods I mentioned, like a taser or something, but obviously they don’t like to resort to hurting him.Â
When he’s in his right mind, he’s not actually that messy or unpredictable. So basically: if his body is spazzing out over the course of the day, you can trust him. If he’s got his powers well under control and is actively using them rather than being subjected to them, you might want to take a step back.
Y'all You have no idea how happy i am to have sparked more Janson love. Has he ever gotten stuck in places while phasing through things? Are there any other antics that caused trouble in the house as he attempts to handle his abilities?
He’s gotten stuck in the walls and ceiling more times than he could count; it can be pretty scary at times but once the others start to understand that it’s normal, he can sort of make light of it.Â
As for causing trouble, it can depend on the time or the day. Sometimes he accidentally phases in his sleep and ends up in one of the others’ rooms, which freaks them out if they happen to wake up and see an eerie dark shadow hovering near their ceiling! They have to be prepared for a blackout every time there’s a thunderstorm; the static electricity in the air can easily make him short-circuit the house. He’s also caused a few small fires from time to time by creating sparks in outlets. A life coping with uncontrolled powers can be a rough one.
