what if the memory gun temporarily erased person's idea of self, society norms etc, creating a Jekyll and Hyde situation for Fiddleford? and the more he used it, the more this other version of him became dominant, but every time he learnt what his "Hyde" did, he erased that too bc he couldn't bear the guilt so it went all spiraling down?
i enjoy that quite a lot actually. i always envision the memory gun having similar side effects to psychoactive drugs (euphoria, delayed reactions, motor function loss, memory loss of course), which get worse the more he uses it. he'd be in that state for a while before snapping out of it and remembering where he is and what he's doing. i like him being able to regain control of himself when he's like that but he acts totally different. also the idea of that aftermath state starting to come on on it's own accord like the transformations in j&h is not out of the realm of possibility.
i think him becoming a completely different person and not remembering it j&h/fight club style is very fun and cool. also gay. it would definitely fuck him up, but that's what we're all here for anyway.
