Idk if this has been asked before but
In the stalker AU, why are we the ones to stalk the boys, why don't they stalk us instead? Wouldn't that be a nice switcheroo? 😙
So, I actually got the idea because I have read a fair few fics of the boys stalking/yandere towards the reader, but not a single one where they're stalked by us. ^^
I also based Stalker on the fandom (or a lot of the people I've met in the fandom.) Many of us are shy and say we'd do certain things we all know we wouldn't do. (Like be blunt about our love for sun and moon to their face)
I am not shy and have done stuff like that to my best friends. (I am very much like "wow, I love and adore this person...I must know everything about them) or at least I used to be. I've since learned how to tone back XD but it was very fun to let that side of me out again through Stalker Y/N.
That being said, I've also been on the other side of the spectrum, I was stalked before. Thankfully, it was online, and nothing severe. The guy was an absolute idiot who always used his first and last name for accounts, so it was easy to spot and block him, but it was terrifying. He used to pop into my deviantart account (how we met) and send creepy messages from time to time. Funny enough, when he found out I had kids, he backed off. I haven't had to deal with him in years, thankfully.
Because of all this I tried to keep stalker from crossing certain lines (like kidnapping the boys against their will, or getting angry or jealous when the boys talked to other people) and just tried to keep them just innocently obsessing and being silly about the boys.
