4) what is something you wish was more well known about being arospec?

It doesn't mean that we can't/don't love. I love my friends fiercely. I'm not a robot, I have empathy and I take things to heart and I protect the people close to me. It's just that none of it is felt in a romantic way.

7) Do you experience any form of attraction? i.e., romantic, platonic, aesthetic, sensual, sexual, etc.

So, fun fact, my autism makes it hard for me to recognize emotions (my own as well as everybody else's), so I actually have no idea. Platonic for sure. Aesthetic maybe? I feel like my celebrity crushes have a lot to do with their looks (see Harry Styles and the tags I leave under my Hayden reblogs lol). Definitely not sexual, though, because I'm also ace 🙂

8) What are some of your favourite arospec characters? this can include characters from popular media or OCs.

I'll start with my OC: Emma from my RNM fic Three Makes A Family. She's partly Deaf and aroace and very traumatized, but she's my baby self and I love her very much (and I now realize that making her Deaf was a way for me to normalize using sign language because my slow processing autistic self needs it 😅)

As for characters from popular media, we don't have a lot of rep so none of them are confirmed, but Mace Windu and Katniss Everdeen. And Georgia Warr from Alice Oseman's Loveless (I haven't seen Heartstopper s2 yet but Isaac will probably end up on the list as well).

10) What frustrates you the most about amatonormativity?

EVERYTHING! No but really though. I'm still trying to come to terms with Valentine's Day because that capitalist holiday just makes me want to vomit. But mostly just the fact that society is so based on living in partnership (expected romantic) that I literally cannot live in a decent apartment by myself with my cat if I am not paid over $60k/year...
