Homopteran of some kind_2018-06-20-09.07.35 ZS PMax UDR by USGS Bee Inventory and Monitoring Lab Via Flickr: Random Homopteran. Prpobably taken with out 10x modified lens. No notes, darn it.
The luscious greenescent caterpillar of the brown drab northern pearly eye butterfly. Â check out the 6 little eyes located down near the mouth/mandibles, I feel rather "Hello Kitty" when looking this one in the face

First shoot using the @canonusa MP-E 65 1-5x macro lens. I need to keep playing with it because I'm not getting the sharpness out of it that I'd expect but I know a few more shoots and I'll have it dialed in. This was also my first shoot using the #stackshot automated rail. That thing is so nice. makes shooting a dream! #marijuana #cannabis #420 #cannabiscommunity #weed #thc #hightimes #weedporn #stoner @hashtags_club #cannabisculture #highlife #maryjane #kush #highsociety #cbd #710 #ganja #weedstagram420 #dank #sativa #indica #dabs #stoned #smokeweedeveryday #ganjagirls #high #medicalmarijuana #weedstagram #macro #weedporn https://www.instagram.com/p/CDPHCGmh3_v/?igshid=ivt4lyo31dvu

Coelioxys novomexicana, f, right, Yolo, CA_2019-03-22-07.22.26 ZS PMax UDR by USGS Bee Inventory and Monitoring Lab Via Flickr: Coelioxys....invader of Megachile nests. This female is designed to slice into Meg nests and insert and egg which later will kill the baby leaf cutter and consume the food. This one is from the Southwest, Coelioxys novomexicana. This bee was collected in the California Central Valley in Yolo County for research on small-scale restoration in agricultural areas. Claire Kremen's 10-year study of hedgerows shows the benefits of planting native shrubs and forbs in agricultural areas for native bees.
