Christmas Tree Cookie Stacks are fun and festive treats perfect for the holiday season. These colorful and delicious cookies are sure to be a hit at any Christmas party or gathering. Stack them up to create edible Christmas tree masterpieces!
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon salt. Green food coloring. Assorted colored candies or sprinkles. Icing sugar, for decorating.
Instructions: Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well. Mix the all-purpose flour and salt into the wet ingredients slowly at first, until a smooth dough forms. Split the dough in half, and add green food coloring to one half. Knead the green dough until it is the color you want it to be. Put each piece of dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes after wrapping it in plastic wrap. Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. On a floured surface, roll out each piece of dough to about 1/4 inch thick. With different-sized cookie cutters in the shape of a Christmas tree, cut out the trees from both green and plain dough. Carefully stack the tree shapes of different sizes on top of each other and lightly press them together to keep them together. Dote the baking sheet with the cookie stacks, leaving some space between each one. To decorate the trees, press different colored candies or sprinkles onto them. After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. To decorate the cookies with icing sugar, wait until they are cool. You can use a piping bag or a small zip-lock bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner. Have fun with your tasty Christmas Tree Cookie Stacks!
