Polaris: Red string, ruby ring

Soulmates AU,Matchmaker!Naruto There's something liberating about not editing, plotting, worrying about coherency or canon, and just yeeting. Don't think too hard about this one, it was just an image I wanted to paint with words
---
Naruto never told Sakura how he'd always managed to find Sasuke. He'd noticed for the first time during the bell test. When it was just the three of them, he couldn't pretend to oblivious any more. His first crush's soulmate was his mortal enemy and greatest rival. Dammit. That asshole didn't even *like* Sakura. And he made her stupid. So Naruto had done what any preteen confronted with something they didn't like did. He ignored it. Besides, he wasn't allowed to tell anyone, and no one would believe him anyways - hurr durr, I can see the red strings of fate between soulmates, now kiss? Yeah right. But when Naruto found Sakura fainted on the bench that day, he'd seen her red string, and low dread settled into his stomach. It was thin as a strand of hair and taut as a wire, leading right out the village gate. So when she'd woken up, he'd promised her. And he'd followed that string. And had failed. Time and time again. But that string had never disappeared, never snapped, and never wavered. Not even when Sasuke had unknowingly sliced right through it in a bid to kill his pesky former teammates who just wouldn't leave him alone. Naruto had only been able to pull Sakura out of danger when he'd seen the string twang, giving away Sasuke's position. That night, he'd held her, the woman who had become his sister, as she cried. But that thread was still there, just a thin laser beam in the darkness. Naruto wanted to cut it himself. He couldn't. And when Sasuke came back to them, even without the pinky where that string was tied, Naruto watched as that thread became just a little bit thicker. He was, just a little bit, glad he hadn't succeeded. And when, one day, long after his odd ability to see the red strings of fate had disappeared, he'd met a baby girl with a red bow in her hair, he'd understood. She was their red ring.

Ophiucus - I'd burn down the world for you.
(Beep boop, I’m importing snips from le twits) I saw a prompt list and this popped into my head. Let's be real, the only thing more fun to write than yandere husband is yandere Mama bear.
--- "What would you have done if I died, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura's voice was soft, exhausted from hours of labour. Her screams still rang in his ears. By hour seven, he was ready to forget about reviving the Uchiha Clan if it required her to give birth. The look he gave her was all the answer she needed. Sakura chuckled, then shook her head. "You can't. We have her now," she dropped a gentle kiss on the downy head in her arms. Sasuke scowled. "Fine. But promise me," he held out his pinky. She nodded, then smiled, and hooked her pinky with his. If the world hurt their baby girl, it would deserve to burn.
Coma Berenices - I yearn for you, I burn for you

Yes I know the countdown is over, but since work is too busy to give me a chance to read and enjoy it, y'all get to lag with me.

Ino never told Sakura why she gave up on Sasuke back in their genin days.
Everyone assumed it had to do with the whole betraying-the-village-and-becoming-a-missing-nin thing. But Ino had given up on him before that, leading up to the first time they'd taken the chuunin exams.
She hadn't told Sakura about her getting over Sasuke-kun at first because she still wanted to rag her about it; it wasn't about her feelings, it was about the girl code. Sisters before misters and all that. And Sakura had broken it first.
Then afterwards, with Sasuke gone... well, there hadn't seemed to be much of a point.
It was such a minor thing, too, and so long ago. She would have forgotten it if she hadn't had it seared upon her memory, hoping someday someone would look at her like that, too.
Ino had spotted Team 7 in the distance, and was just about to cannonball over, but Sasuke had let his shield down for just a moment. He was looking at Sakura.
Just looking. But that look spoke volumes.
Sasuke looked at Sakura the same way Chouji looked at a display of chips, but different. There was a bitter, desperate knowing to Sasuke's longing, like he knew he'd never get what he wanted.
That look had brought tears to Ino's eyes, and absolute certainty to her heart that she would never be able to make him forget his desperation, nevermind his longing. And she wanted someone to look at her that way, not Sakura.
She'd slipped away that day and buried her first love in her heart. And hadn't told a soul.
But years later, when a certain ex-ANBU without a last name asked her on a date and she'd surprised them both by agreeing, she'd seen the same look on his face. She recognized that look.
And Ino realized, she'd found him.
