The umbrella, when it rains - Charlie; only because he’d have to crouch if Alison were to hold it, and that would wrinkle his shirt. 

The popcorn at the cinema - Alison. Butter on Charlie’s expensive pants? No way. 

The baby, when it cries - Alison, but she’d make Charlie do his share of holding a crying baby even if he’s super busy with something. The baby comes first one it’s here; not Charlie’s appearance. 

The ice cream cone, when they share - Alison. Charlie would let her know when he wanted a lick though, and she’d offer it to him then. 

The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie - Charlie, since he’s super picky. When they’re just watching TV late at night though, it’s usually lost in the bedcovers somewhere, but that’s okay. 

The basket, when they go shopping - Charlie. He’d help Alison pick things up when they go shopping, but they’d be stuck at the store forever if Charlie were to be the one to pick up ingredients and things.

The door, on dates - Charlie. He may think of himself most of the time, but he has enough manners to open the door for his girlfriend.

The other’s hand, most often - Alison. She thinks holding hands is the sweetest form of affection between Charlie and her. It’s small, but it’s nice to hold his hand, especially when he’s been away for a while.

Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day - Charlie. There definitely will be a lot of nerves when their wedding day comes. 

[ She has just entered his room, finding him laying on his bed on his stomach, laptop in front of him, upper half of his body propped on a pillow. She doesn't hesitate a moment to walk towards him and lay on top of him, her chest to his back, positioning herself so that her head was resting in the crook of his neck. She nuzzled him gently before hiding her face in the warmth of his neck, muttering very softly and apologetically-- ]

It was the grand day many people in the city had been waiting for. The Titanic was welcoming as it began to fill up with guests, with many families, elite or not, filling up the deck and the rooms. The elites were easily picked out, or at least to Alison they were. They were beautiful to her though, each person donning something extravagant she knew she could never afford. Still, she didn't feel awful watching them board the ship, families talking animatedly among each other, not paying any mind to her. That's how she liked it though: to be in the background and watch life.
