I’ve been dealing with a really bad OCD spike. During this, I’ve been using my f/o as a way to cope, to get me to do things. But recently it’s been so hard trying to imagine him because my OCD keeps getting worse. I just wish I could think about him normally. I wish he could be here cause I hate being alone and it’s been harder and harder to do the things I’m supposed to do. I miss him so much I just want him to be here with me

I hate that I have to be selectively sharing with one of my f/os, and it's my son Zohakuten (he's from Demon Slayer). Usually I'm all for doubles, I'm mirrorsharing for almost all of them. But it irks me when I see Zohakuten shippers. They always wanna pair him with adults or adults selfshipping with him romantically

For context to anyone that hasn't watched Demon Slayer or haven't reached the Swordsmith Village Arc: Zohakuten is the maifestation of a 200+ year old demon named Hantengu's hatred, an extention of the same demon's anger. Hantengu takes the form of an elderly man, mental age around 80ish. And his manifestations keep getting younger and younger. His main two, Sekido and Karaku (anger and pressure) are adults, then they split into four, Sekido, Karaku, Urogi, and Aizetsu (the latter two are joy and sorrow) are young adults, and then there's Zohakuten, who is CLEARLY A TEEN. HE LOOKS THE SAME AGE IF NOT A BIT YOUNGER THAN THE PROTAGONIST WHO IS 15 AND ONE OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS SAYS HE LOOKS LIKE HER YOUNGER BROTHER.

So what if he's over 200+ years old. So what if he technically has the mind of an adult. That is still a child. And it sickens me when I find people shipping him with not the other teenagers, but with the 19 year old demon slayer he fights. - It's the whole reason I don't like interacting with most fans of the Hantengu clones. And I had to block so SO many people because of it.

And it is also the reason I started seeing Zohakuten as my son in the first place. I want to protect him from the nasty people. I'm at least hugely releived that the author of KnY and the people in Ufotable who made the anime don't sexualize my son like the fandom does.

I hope the ones in charge of this blog and anyone who comes across this is having a good day. If not, good days are on the horizon. Keep spreading the joy and whimsy your f/os give you

i don't really want to be non sharing, i want my f/o to be enjoyable for everybody who wants to self ship with him, but i keep seeing doubles, i want to share, i really do, but it makes my mood drop. do you have any advice, oh wise one? i really don't want to be nonsharing, not that it's bad to be exclusive, but i want to connect with fellow self shippers for this certain character, but i don't know how. please i beg, could you advise me?

I, personally, am a non-sharer for a majority of my F/O's. But for a long time, I was nonsharing for all of them, even the ones I wished I could share. Personally, I found myself starting small, with only sharing with select few people. If you specifically search for doubles that you think are really really cool, get to know them, and talk about everything you love abuot the character, and how much you love the character, I think it's a good way to slowly get used to doubles and the idea of doubles!
