SRN = Shared Rural Network, and aims to improve rural mobile connectivity. The UKG put around 50% of the money and the operators the other 50%.

Through this scheme the area of the UK with 4G has reached the initial traget of 96% having connectivity with one operator, althoiugh this figure drops to 90% when considering all 3 operators.

SRN is the Shared Rural Network wherby the governmant provide 50% of the cost of a mst and the oprators the other 50%. All 3 operators can share the mat. Theese are, as the name implies, rural locations that are not otherwise commercially viable. the scheme started in 2020 and the 100 masts have been delivered in the intervening 5 years. More are to follow in the next 2 years to cater for some of the remaining not-spots for 4G coverage in the UK.
