The glorious ‘Golden Temple’, in which the Goddess “Mahalakshmi” is the main deity, was constructed on 100 acres land with a blooming landscape at Siripuram village.This architectural marvel in gold was built by hundreds of goldsmiths and craftsmen from Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam. It took around six years to complete the entire structure. Even the central chandelier was made of gold. With 36 pillars around, the temple with Rajagopuram resembles the Tirumala temple. Except the walking area, the entire structure, with intricate carvings and sculptures has been plated with gold. With the lighting arrangements that were made, the temple glitters even more during nights. The messages of ‘Amma’ and quotes from Bhagawad Gita, Bible and Quran are displayed on either side of the pathway. That makes the people not just to admire the ‘Golden Temple’, but to carry some messages and to gain some wisdom.
The Sri Lakshmi Narayani Temple located in ‘Sripuram’ (spiritual town) in Thirumalaikkodi, about seven km from here, was consecrated by Sri Sakthi Amma, head of the Sri Narayani Peedam, Thirumalaikkodi, on Friday.
It is a unique temple whose ‘Vimanam’ and ‘Ardha Mandapam’ have been coated with gold both in the interior and exterior. Twelve layers of gold foils have been pasted on copper sheets embossed with the designs of Gods and fixed on the walls. One-and-a-half tonnes of gold has gone into the design of the Sri Lakshmi Narayani Temple, which has been built at a cost of Rs.300 crore.

Darshan Timing 8 am to 8 pm on all the 365 days! For those who want to have darshan and have enough time to stand in the queue, the entry is free. There is no charges for the general public for entry and darshan. However, those who are in hurry and limited time to go through the normal darshan, there are some special arrangements made for a little fee. One can avail the available options across the counter.
