okay it better have not been a person's fault that Star is hurt. like if they were attacked by someone or someone's pet or a person's negligence resulted in Star getting hurt, maaaaaaaan... hell hath no fury. even more meek and nervous Sun would be up in someone's face, hissing loudly with his little rays standing straight up and quivering aggressively. Moon might stomp a bitch into the curb, it'd be best if someone kept a tight grip on him. he's so very extremely protective of Star and (eventually) Sun that consequences for his actions are not enough of a threat to keep him from absolutely tearing into someone who has directly or indirectly harmed what's his. he is one of those people who would happily go to jail for turning someone into a smear on the pavement if someone so much as, yes, bruised either Star or Sun.
pointing out their Star needs help would just about be the only thing to break either of them of that response. and if there wasn't one, if it was just a random accident or Star accidentally hurt themself, they'd drop everything and race to take care of them or rush them to what is basically an emergency vet to have them taken care of asap. they'd be eaten up with guilt in the waiting room, Sun would practically be inconsolable until they got word on Star and eventually were able to see them again, especially if it was a very deep and terrible wound. not crying, necessarily, but pacing, shredding anything he can get his hands on as a release of emotion, shaking. Moon would probably be a stone wall in the waiting room: motionless the whole time, quiet, just kind of staring. would not bring up good memories for him, he'd be absolutely terrified internally.
