Gordon's squid-sense being put to the test by Squirt:

• He always knows when this kid is doing something stupid it's just a vibe and he's never been wrong.

• A common one is pulling them back from danger, big drop off a cliff, moving traffic or in the way of something. The squid-sense is set off and he just casually reaches out to grab them by the arm or their shirt, just incase...

• From the outside it sometimes looks like he's being either over protective or neglectful. He's fine taking Squirt swimming with sharks and letting them get hands of with rescues but then something seemingly harmless, like them leaning over a rock pool, could give him bad vibes and he pulls them away to find a little blue ringed octopus hiding, tucked away in the back of the rock pool.

• The squid-sense switches him from fun and chill big brother mode into parent/medic/IR operative mode instantly. No hiding, no lying, no excuses, he will track that kid down and save their sorry ass.

• Speaking of lying, Squirt cannot lie to Gordon because he always sees through it. He may not know exactly what the truth is but he knows that whatever they're spouting isn't it.

• Also knows when something is off emotionally, he'll ask them a few times if they're ok but won't push or pry unless it seems super serious. He usually just lets Squirt come to him when they're ready to talk, until then he makes extra effort to be softer and supportive.

Bloody hell this was hard work, I hope it's ok.

Squirt is a hands-on kind of learner so Gordon is letting them sit up front on his lap and guiding them while he pilots so they can get a feel of the controls.
