Mysterium: Session 1 (Bonus 1)
PD: A showing off of the cards used in this session. So that this art doesn't go uncredited. Along with some of the game setup as well. Myself was the psychic in blue, AM in yellow, RT in white, and HS in purple.
Mysterium: Session 1 (Part 10 Final)
PD: Alright. I've looked over the instructions. When playing, it seems we missed some crucial steps needed for the final straw poll. All of the previous visions are to be returned to the box and the cards associated with each player get a ghost token that shows their entire intended plan of intent to accuse. AM is then supposed to make one final vision that is supposed to guide us to the final culprit.
AM: Alright, I have them. Randomly selected, as continuing with how it's been going through the game.
PD: For every hour someone was completed with their group of three cards, they gain one clairvoyancy token that lets them see more of the cards in the final vision. So, looking back at the rounds, I have two from the one hour remaining, including the default one.
HS: I also have two since I finished with PD.
RT: And I have only one token due to finishing right on time.
AM: So we don't even get to use the final card. Which is fine because I have no way of making it work unless you really stretch it. What next?
PD: We all take turns attempting to vote according to what cards we can have access to. First off is RT.
RT: I see a man in an old bicycle with the one large wheel flying through the sky with balloons over the cityscape with the intent to clean the chimneys judging by his equipment. This man has a very close resemblance to the HS' military man suspect so I am going to vote for him.
HS: I'm next. The new card that I can see along with that one is winged bird like creature on stilts walking through a sand castle with scorpions in the sand and buttons with yarn through the windows. I am going to guess PD's suspect of the old woman since she has a ball of yarn in her card.
PD: I see the same cards as HS and I'm going to agree with her. The old woman and with conjunction with the previous card would correlate to the hunting study possibly. A worldly traveled individual.
AM: With everyone but RT choosing the old lady, she is being selected as the murderer. Is this correct? How do we proceed from here?
PD: The rules say if one group gets more votes, it's selected as the final choice. AM, you did choose a final option when selecting the final three cards?
AM: Yes, I did. And you all were right, it was the old woman. Final card that no one got was of some fucking porcupine thing with a hockey mask sitting on a mushroom, with vines in the back, which were supposed to be the rope she used. Again, hell of a stretch. But what I don't fucking get is why it takes until the very end of the game to decide who actually is the killer instead of picking one at the start and working to eliminate other possibilities. If the Ghost wanted to, every game would be an instant win so long as everyone reaches the end.
RT: That's true. But we still made it through and won! The spirit of the ghost can rest in peace knowing that justice has been served!
HS: Um. Looking back through the manual, if the clock hits 7 and everyone isn't finished, we all automatically lose. Should we count that?
AM: Well fuck.
PD: It's fine. It's our first time with this game and it's really confusing to begin with. It's over now and we're done with this game at long last.
RT: This has been fun! I look forward to when we can play together again! We still have a lot of games to go through and test out. I'm glad we got to spend this time together.
Mysterium: Session 1 (Part 9)
AM: 7 a.m. This is the last chance to win the game. RT needs to correctly guess the last murder weapon to be able to move into the finale round. One card to get it right.
PD: To be fair, there's a one in three chance to get it along with you trying to steer her in the right direction. And technically everyone needs to correctly guess everything within the 7 hour time limit so even if she does guess right, wouldn't that be going over the time limit?
HS: Does that mean we're going to lose the game regardless?
PD: Well, if we get it wrong, the game will just end but if we get it right, I'm fine with allowing a "bonus time" for the final round, just so we can check it out.
RT: My last card is of a dark room with glowing red eyes in the back, and in front of it are giant axes striking down on a pool of molten fluid with a chain leading into it, with traffic cones alerting to the dangerous ahead. The only items that haven't been claimed so far are the candlestick, the statue, and the frying pan. Both the candlestick and frying pan could be used with the molten liquid due to the heat, and the statue could be associated with the traffic cones and possibly the axes since they seem like they'd be similar ages. Considering that two murder weapons are so similar, I think I'll choose the remaining option, the statue, as my final choice.
AM: Well, this certainly wasn't forced or actively trying to guarantee this final round would pass to get to the end game, but RT is correct, it was the statue for their suspect. We have the three suspects with their locations and murder weapons. HS has the soldier in the attic with the medical needles, PD has the old knitting woman at the hunting lounge with the rope, and RT finally has the Sweeney Todd barber in the music lounge with the statue. With everyone correctly guessing their situations, we should be over with the game considering this would put us at 8am, but apparently we get a final bonus round that, for some reason, ends with a straw poll of everyone deciding who the real killer is out of the three possible. I'm not going to read how this works so it's up to PD to figure out how we go from here and finally finish this neverending game.
Mysterium: Session 1 (Part 8)
AM: 6 a.m. If we want a chance to win this game, everyone needs to move onto their own respective next tier to win. RT at least needs to move onto the murder weapon round if there's a chance of moving on. Let's see if everyone can do it or if I'm staying a ghost in this game. Remember that? Still dead during this whole thing. Fun.
HS: My card looks like the Grim Reaper taking his pet snake on a way after passing through some scorched earth and grabs some apples from a dying tree along the way. Since apples contain trace amounts of cyanide, I'm going to associate it with the box of syringes.
PD: My card is a grassy knoll that's been turned into a home with many windows and on top are two trees with a hammock tied in between them. I'm going to link the hammock to the rope for the murder weapon.
RT: My card is of a dark and rainy night, a closed gate with foot prints in the snow, walking past a teddy bear lying beside the path. I'm going out on a limb and suggesting the study with the record player due to the animal statue in there and the teddy bear. The attic with the dress better fits the overall lighting of the area, but the foot imprints in the snow wouldn't match the wedding dress in the attic.
AM: By some miracle, everyone moves on. HS and PD have completed their trials and wait at the end while RT has a single round to correctly guess their murder weapon from the remaining three selections of the frying pan, the lady statue, and the candelabra. If she can't do it, then it's game over and everyone loses. If she does get it, then we move into the special round where PD gets to buckle down in the rule book and figure out how the hell the endgame to this works.

Mysterium: Session 1 (Part 7)
AM: 5 a.m. Getting close to being done with this.
HS: My card looks like two men on rooftops, who are on ladders, and they are using glittering paint to paint in the morning sky over the night sky as if it were a billboard. I am going to guess that the statue is the murder weapon this time around. It's perhaps how something could have been on the statue from the attack and connecting it to the paint?
PD: My card is of an island along the shore line, where a ship can be seen sailing off as a ghostly specter of a pirate is nearing a pool that has a red door floating in it, door unhinged and open as a horseshoe is tied to the top of it. I am assuming that this means the study with guns and mounted head are the ones to pick if we're using the person on the beach as a reference point.
RT: My card is pretty straight forward compared to previous ones. A large black rat is on top of a chessboard throwing pieces around while staring down the other side and its white pieces. Using the checkered pattern of the board, I'm going to link this to the pool area by the tiles of the pool.
AM: Some progress. PD has found her location and can move onto the murder weapon part of the game. HS and RT have failed their checks and will need to continue again. RT is still trying to find their location so they will need to catch up and not lag behind if they want a shot at guessing their murder weapon. We're now at 6 a.m. and there's not much time left for this game.
Mysterium: Session 1 (Part 6)
AM: 4 a.m.
HS: My card is out of a cannon painted blue with white stars on it, firing out a bright cannon shot of light into the dusk sky as the moon is coming in. I am going to take this vision and assume the murder weapon is the candelabra, something that could have been used with the cannon.
PD: My card is of a black bird sitting on a frozen over stationary store sign that shows an inkwell and quill on it, while in the middle of a fierce snowstorm. I take this to mean the location of the outdoor pool connected to a residence as there are similar looking birds outside.
RT: My card is seemingly more abstract than ones previously. It looks like an mouse in a vest looking into a nest of thorns with cherries growing out of them. At the furthest parts of the thorns is a glass jar with small red panda looking creatures floating around like sea monkeys. With the reference to cherries, I will guess that it's the kitchen.
AM: Sad to say but everyone guessed wrong this round. HS is still looking for the murder weapon while PD and RT are still in locations. The time is now 5 a.m. and we're past the halfway point. The game ends at 8 a.m. so they need to finish fast.
Mysterium: Session 1 (Part 5)
AM: Next round.
HS: My card looks like an astral owl wearing the pelt of a polar bear reading a book that has a icon of a bull on it. The only appropriate location has to be the similarly blue colored attic that contains a lot of objects, most importantly an old but pristine wedding dress.
PD: My card is of an old fashioned marine diver with a heart patch accompanied with two Anubis' underwater and looking at a pressurized container with a wheel on it. Given the process of elimination and what little I have to go off of, I am thinking the older woman given the heart patch and the yarn ball could be connected, along with the potential of it being a coffin and her being old.
RT: My card is a lush and vibrant field with barren trees in the back and two young boys next to a crossroads, with the white hatted boy standing and looking and the black haired boy who is sad. My guess is the barber due to sharing the black and white hair color as the hat and hair of the boys.
AM: Well, despite some truly awful attempts at trying to connect them, everyone guessed correctly this round. Everyone moves up to the next portion, with HS moving to the murder weapon round while PD and RT move onto locations. They need to hurry up if they want a chance at winning before the clock has gone beyond the available time. 4 a.m.
