There's an otherworldly surrealism to the whole setting, one that hits him full force when Jimin squares his shoulders and forces himself to swallow around the lump lodged stubbornly in throat mere seconds before he's stepping out of the fancy car and into yet more so grand sight laid out for the night. The jittery feeling in the pit of stomach clawing at his insides, the nervous bouncing of leg, worried gnawing on lips which his companion had commented on was gone in one exhale, leaving behind an after-taste of wonder and tense excitement.
Shaking himself out of the moment Jimin took a step to the side to allow Jinhee to exit as well, hand held out with a hopefully not too timid of a smile adorning lips as he grasped hand firmly around her own petite one, steady. She seemed far more confident in this moment and her own skin, and he found it reassuring if anything to be able to focus on the way she carried herself close beside him as they made way towards entrance arms linked, while attempt was made in ignoring the numerous faces of strangers surrounding the entryway same as the constant strum of chatter and flashing cameras.
He counted it as a win already for not having tripped, even if near no one knew their identities here - beside some of the agents no doubt, honestly these masked fooled absolutely no one, and if recognition was not instantaneous by any other feature then by his hair. It helped nothing the suit on him was all rich blue satin, with a black and white polka dot dress shirt underneath that matched the top part of Jinhee's elegant dress in reverse colours, standing out as a splash of bright sea in the mass of dark and pale. In all honesty he had been a bit dumbstruck when first laying eyes on the flashy outfit fitted perfectly over his form, a small noise of surprise leaping out of mouth hanging open, much similar to the one his tailor had let out, though less of a squeal. There were no words to describe it but Jimin had in that instant fell a little in love, with a piece of suit too flashy for any other use but damned if he wasn't going to hold up to the promise of working the hell out of it in order to not waste his tailors precious tears-- mild exaggeration alright, but still.
Awe was evident embarrassingly clear on features even under the plain black mask on place which he kept adjusting, the light press of the material not too uncomfortable against skin but hard to ignore still. He would surely find blessed relief when time to withdraw for the night came and the male was able to strip off the costume, it felt one, pretend play, embraced nonetheless. But for now he had other more pressing matters to tune into, such as finding their seats once his partner had left jacket to the capable hands of the receptionists. And the constant stress of a reminder this night was not to be purely enjoyment and fun, unfortunately.
