Seriously thinking about buying Sprite Lamp (http://www.snakehillgames.com/spritelamp/) for these awesome lighting effects. Could be pretty god damn awesome!

Playing around with Spritelamp! This was just a quick first test on an existing image, but pretty fun anyway! Considering using this for some future game project that wouldn't topple under the added art requirement.
Spritelamp works by creating depth maps and stuff (I don't do 3d, don't ask me what that stuff is) for a 2d image, which then lets you use 3d type lighting on it.
Decided to have a quick play around with a tool I bought on kickstarter a couple of weeks before Christmas; SpriteLamp. Although it was advertised as a sprite generation/lighting tool for games, it seemed like a great way to experiment with different lighting setups for simply painting with. I think I need to play around more with the lighting profiles, but for a test run, I'm pretty happy with it.
