I love how universally appealing skunk cabbage is. r/foraging has been full of posts like this for the last few weeks and I can't blame them. Big green luscious-looking cabbage-looking thing pops up all over among a sea of brown and it's April in the northeast and we haven't seen green for months. God I WISH you could eat skunk cabbage*. *Technically edible after extensive processing to remove the calcium oxalate that'll fuck up your kidneys but probably not worth it even then

Some lovely early spring blooms and plants I've found in recent days! Spring beauty (I think), grape hyacinth, trout lily and I believe cherry. Taken for myself but also for @geopsych scavenger hunt ❤️
