The nurse’s narrowed eyes watched the detective like a hawk as they wandered through the twisted, haunted filled woods. Was he aware of just -what- exactly he was saying to her? To a woman who’s entire career was dedicated to essentially torture and murder. Sure, she hadn’t shown him her true colours, she was playing nice, but it still seemed a little strange to say to someone one knew very little about. “I doubt you would still be saying such things outside of this world…” Her words were calm and polite, but each one was chosen deliberately. Her gaze drifting to the path ahead. “In fact, I am sure you would take those words back rather rapidly, officer.” It was the truth. At least to her. If they weren’t inside the hell hole that had become of the S.T.E.M system, if she wasn’t hiding who she really was, then they would probably have only met if she’d gotten arrested. A circumstance she would very much like to never encounter.
Sebastian was a detective. It was his job to protect people and find answers. This place was a hell hole, nightmares were around every corner. Everything wanted to kill you.
The nurse’s words were odd. He would always do his best to protect anyone. It was his job.
“Is there a reason for that?” He turned to look at her for a second, a slight frown on his face.
Maybe it was true. Inside STEM he became more protective over others, always looking out for them. The place was a nightmare, he would do everything he could to get himself and everyone else trapped in there out. It’s not the first time someone had contained information about themselves away from the detective. After all, it was his job to catch criminals and send them to prison.
